Biography
Liming Chen received his B.Sc (1997) and Ph.D. (2002) from Peking University. He then received his postdoctoral training at Yale University under the mentoring of Dr. Walter F. Boron. Dr. Chen obtained his first faculty position of Instructor at Case Western Reserve University in 2008. Dr. Chen currently holds a faculty position of Associate Professor at Huazhong University of Science & Technology. Dr. Chen has published a series of papers in top-tier journals, including PNAS, Journal of Physiology, Biology of Reproduction, FASEB J, Am J Physiol, Neuroscience, Genomics, PLOS ONE etc.
Research Interest
Molecular physiology and biophysics of acid-base transporters, particularly the structure and function, and physiological roles of Na+-coupled HCO3– transporters in different physiological systems, such as the central nervous system, the cardiovascular system, the urinary and reproductive system, etc.
