Thomas McKeon has received his PhD in Biochemistry at UC Berkeley with Postdoctoral Research in Plant Biochemistry at UC Davis. He has over 100 publications, mostly in Plant Lipid Enzymology and Molecular Biology. He is an Editor and author for the book chapter “Industrial Oil Crops”. He is an Editor for Biocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology (BAB), a Board Member for American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS) Biotechnology Division and International Society for Biocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology (ISBAB). He has organized conferences for ISBAB and for US-Japan Natural Resources (UJNR) Food and Agriculture Panel.

Sandeep K. Vashist is the Head of Immunodiagnostics at Hahn-Schickard-Gesellschaft für angewandte Forschung e.V. (HSG-IMIT) and Laboratory for MEMS Applications, Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK), University of Freiburg, Germany. He was the Bioanalytical Scientist at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, Dublin, Ireland (2006-2009) and the Team Leader at NUS Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Institute, Singapore (2009-2012) after completing his Ph.D. from Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, India (2006). His research outputs include many successful technology transfers, several in vitro diagnostic and point-of-care technologies, over 80 publications in high impact factor journals and numerous patents, book chapters, and publications/talks in international conferences. He has constantly received highly prestigious fellowships and awards for scientific research excellence and innovation. Besides, he is acting as the Editorial Board and Executive Editor for several reputed journals (such as NPG’s Scientific Reports, Elsevier’s NPBR and MDPI’s Diagnostics).

His research interests include in vitro diagnostics, biosensors, point-of-care testing, nanotechnology, and smartphone-based personalized healthcare monitoring and management.

lan Chet has completed his PhD in Microbiology at the Faculty of Agriculture of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Rehovot. He has published 390 articles, edited five books and holds 38 patents. He has served as a Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Vice President of the Hebrew University. Later, he was the President of the Weizmann Institute of Science and nominated “Institute Professor”. He was also a Visiting Professor at Harvard, Colorado State, Cornell, Rutgers and Lund Gottingen Universities. He was awarded with many prizes, among them, the Max-Planck, the Israel prize and the Wolf Prize. He has also received the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Germany and the Legion of Honor of France. Furthermore, he was recognized with an Honorary Doctorate from Lund, Haifa and Naples Universities. He is a Member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, the European Academy of Sciences and Academia Europea. He held the previous position of Deputy Secretary General at the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean.

His research concerns with the biological control of plant disease using environment-friendly microorganisms, focusing on the basic, applied, and biotechnological aspects of this field.

Jose M. Guisan is full Professor at Spanish Research Council (CSIC) since 2001. He obtained Ph. D. in Biochemistry from University Autónoma of Madrid in 1979. Dr. Emmanuel (Mano) Loeb is a graduate of The School of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht University, Netherlands and a qualified expert (IL Diploma) veterinary pathologist with published papers. He has 12 years of experience in experimental pathology and he is constantly improving his skills through continuous profession development. In his work, he takes part in annual professional meetings such as the ESVP and follows The Society of Toxicologic Pathology (STP) recommendations. He established new methods in the laboratory such as “free floating sections” for immunofluorescence staining, and developed translation tools from pathological hallmarks to histological end point. Dr.Loeb is also teaching pathology at the veterinary school of Koret (Hebrew University).

Dr. Sukanta Mondal is currently working as Principal Scientist at ICAR-National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bangalore, India. He received his Ph. D. in 2006 from Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Bareilly, India and did postdoctoral assignment from University of Laval, Canada. He has been working in the field of molecular endocrinology, reproductive genomics and stress physiology for last 20 yrs. His major research interests includes maternal recognition of pregnancy, cloning, characterization and expression of genes, molecular characterization and expression of hormone receptors, understanding of mechanism that regulate ovarian follicular development etc. He has published over 55 papers in various National and International journals of repute and delivered invited lectures in different conference throughout the country. He has been bestowed with several fellowships including National Scholarship, Government of India, S J Jindal Trust fellowship, Junior Research Fellowship (NDRI) and Senior Research Fellowship (IVRI). Dr. Mondal’s work in hormone receptor and buffalo genomics has been recognized nationally and has received several prestigious awards like Rashtriya Gaurav award (2014), Prof. G. P. Talwar Midcareer Scientist award (2014), Prof. G. K. Pal award (2013), Fellow of Indian Chemical Society (2013), Fellow of Society for Applied Biotechnology (2012), Fellow of Indian Association of BioMedical Scientitsts (2010), Dr. K.
